Huzzah! Today is Halloween. Full of chocolately candy goodness!

That isn't the only thing that is good about today, of course. But it is a happy side effect.

Halloween has long been my favourite holiday. There's just something about it that is appealing. Aside from my sugar issues.

The history and traditions behind Halloween (that most have forgotten or never knew) are rich and appeal to the part of me that loves all things mystical and magical.

I'm overjoyed. Truly. I've never gotten a parking ticket before. I've only ever had like... three tickets in my entire driving life.

Evidently there's a sign posted... Right at the corner. You know, where people aren't going to see it, because they're TURNING the gorram corner?

Yeah. Exactly.

The part that frosts my hinie and makes me angry, though, is that the groundskeeper was sitting right there, in his truck, smoking a cigarette at the gate and didn't say a word about it. And he knew, because he tells everyone else.

Petty revenge is awesome, isn't it?

I sometimes find it hard to stick to my rule of not talking about politics in public forums (including here). Stuff just irritates the poo out of me and makes me want to talk some common sense to folks...

Well, actually, we do.

Web pages sort of insist on that sort of thing if you feel like you maybe want to sign in and do something with them.

Sadly, I can't seem to remember mine for the life of me. I have clearly become too reliant on the remember me cookie things that make me lazy and forgetful.

Then there is the fun of starting a new job!

This is relevant. I swear.

More precisely, my hard drive took a rather serious powder (can that phrase actually be used that way?) and I have been sans computer since... Oh about May 28th or so.
