Who doesn't love November, just because right? It's fall, there's Thanksgiving, it's cold and smells of fires burning. I love November.
Part of the reason is because of NaNoWriMo. I'm finally getting to participate after having signed up years ago and never getting a chance because work was always too hectic. (Last year, it was sheer laziness.)
But this year, I've already started writing and am 2095 words in. Yay me! I'm also doing it online (as moral support for a friend who is doing it online). I think that'll help keep me honest and actually writing.
In other fun news, learning how to knit (and crochet!) has proven to be unexpectedly fruitful. I was thinking of nice handmade gifts for loved ones, however it seems that a gift made for a dear friend netted such interest that I've had offers of munnies for my handiwork. Who would have thought!
I'm kind of stoked. Especially considering that I'm such a novice at it. So I'll be buying some yarn this evening and getting started on a little side munny making venture. How nifty is that?
Beyond that... Settling in nicely to the new job as a bookkeeper. I've done it so many times before that it's an easy transition. And it's really nice to be doing something again. It's even nicer to be doing something somewhere where they help others. Gives me nice warm fuzzies!
