Oy, where does the time go?
Double oy, where does my writing topic go?
To be perfectly honest, it isn't like I don't have plenty of topics... Just a bunch that I don't really feel comfortable about sharing. So let's see... how about games?
I like games. Not the mental kind people play with each other, cause those suck and I avoid them. But like... you know. Games. Video games, board games, card games, dice games (Farkle for the win!), and pen and paper RPGs.
One of my all time favourite games, that I've just started playing in the last couple of years, is Settlers of Catan. It's pretty much completely awesome. The goal is basically to take over the map and get the most points. Although it is possible to win without taking over much space on the map. But that's a lot harder. I don't win very often. Honey almost always wins. He's a brat like that.
Then there's video games. Right now, I'm playing Rift. It's wonderful and if you don't know it, please check it out! It has all the high fantasy goodness you could want. Swords and sorcery. It's all kinds of good. They have taken the systems and perks that I've liked best from other games on the market and put them all into one game. They've polished it up and made it smoother. And on top of all of that, I like the story. The best part, of course, is all the little things that they have in there for people who are obsessive like I am.
Collection quests, where you find the little shinies on the ground and get items. I can't get enough of those. Unfortunately it sometimes leads to me not paying as much attention as I should and someone dying. Oops. At least it's just a game! They also have achievements for completing certain tasks or groups of tasks. Now that my character is at the level cap... It's time to start trying to get all of the achievements that I can. Mwahahahaha.
